Prof. Dr. med. Reinhard Kujat

Prof. Dr. med. Reinhard Kujat studied Human Medicine at the Westfälische Wilhelms University, Münster, the Bavarian Ludwig-Maximilians University, Würzburg, the Degli Studi University in Padua, Italy and at the Klinikum rechts der Isar, Munich.

In addition, he received training from Prof. Christian Barnard during a period of study at the Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, and at the Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg (both South Africa). On completion of his studies he successfully passed the American State Examination (ECFMG).

He was trained to become a consultant at the Universitätsklinik Münster by Prof. Dr. H. Dittrich (heart surgery) and at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover by Prof. Dr. R. Pichlmayr (abdominal and transplant surgery), Prof. Dr. H.Tscherne (traumatology), Prof. Dr. H. Mildenberger (paediatric surgery).

His training was completed by a Shoulder fellowship from Prof. Charles R. Rockwood at the University of Texas, San Antonio, USA. Following this training Prof Dr Kujat worked as a junior doctor and senior physician in the department of traumatology of the MHH.

Since 1986 Prof. Dr. Reinhard Kujat has been in charge of his own medical practice specialising in joint and bone surgery.
