Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy or keyhole surgery as an up-to-date operation technique which protects soft tissue is carried out by Prof. Dr. Kujat on the following joints:
- Shoulder joint
- Elbow joint
- Wrist
- Knee joint
- Ankle joint
This operation technique has replaced open operations on joints which were still common up to a few years ago. The soft tissue protecting operation technique and the clearer overview of the inside of the joint allow for better operation results and for a quicker recovery of joint functions. As only small insertions are made, arthroscopies on the above mentioned joints can often be carried out ambulantly, either under full anaesthesia or under spinal anaesthesia.
